Grizzly Jack’s Grand Bear Resort gift cards are the perfect gift for any occasion. Gift cards are valid year round and may be used towards accommodations or at any food & beverage outlet. Call 866.399.3866 to give the gift of family fun!
Blackout Calendar:
These are specific dates throughout the year when we do not accept gift certificates, promotional discounts or coupons. Gift cards are always welcome.

Check-In:
Check-in begins at 4pm. Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 1pm to pre-register for the room and begin using the waterpark and amusement park until the room becomes available. Grand Bear Resort does not provide any sort of luggage check. Registered guest must be twenty-five (25) years of age or older to check-in to Vacation Villas or Luxury Cabins and twenty-one (21) years of age or older to check-in to Lodge rooms.
Check-Out:
Check-out time is 11am. Guests are welcome to utilize the waterpark and amusement park after check-out on the day of departure. Grand Bear Resort does not provide any sort of luggage check.
Chaperone Policy:
For Vacation Villas and Luxury Cabins, one adult age twenty-five (25) years or older is required for every six (6) guests under the age of twenty-one (21). For Lodge rooms, one adult chaperone age twenty-one (21) years or older is required.
Early Check-In:
We cannot guarantee any early check-in. Check-in is based upon availability of rooms prior to 4pm. Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 1pm to pre-register and access the waterpark and amusement park until a room is available.
Late Check-Out:
Late check-outs are granted based upon availability. We cannot provide information on the availability of a late check-out until you arrive on property for check-in. Late check-outs typically require an additional fee.
Deposit Policy:
A deposit in the amount of the first night’s room rate plus taxes and resort fee are due at the time of booking. Please allow up to 24 hours for processing of your credit card. Any remaining balance will be due at the time of check-in.
Cancellation Policy:
All reservations canceled prior to 3 days of arrival will forfeit $25 (plus taxes) of the initial deposit. All reservations canceled within 3 days of arrival will forfeit the entire initial deposit of the first night’s room rate plus taxes and resort fee. Certain promotions may require a non-refundable deposit.
Security Deposit:
In addition to any remaining balance for room and tax at check-in, we require a security deposit of $50 for Lodge rooms and $1000 for Vacation Villas and Luxury Cabins. Security deposits for Vacation Villas and Luxury Cabins will be accepted via credit card only. The use of a debit card will directly affect the available funds of your checking account and may be held by your bank up to 30 days following your departure.
Payment Options:
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Cash, Money Order and Traveler’s Checks. We do NOT accept personal checks. We will not accept payment for Vacation Villas or Luxury Cabins from anyone under the age of twenty-five (25).
Overnight Accommodations:
Admission to the indoor waterpark and indoor amusement park is included in the cost of every overnight accommodation and is based on the hours of operation. Admission is subject to the number of guests indicated on the reservation. Pricing for our overnight accommodations does not include our laser tag, ropes course, outdoor miniature golf or zip line. Ages 2 & Younger:
Children ages 2 and younger stay and play free. All children are included in the total guests count, but those children 2 and younger are free of charge.
Day Passes:
Day passes are available for our indoor amusement park only. Overnight accommodations are required for access to the waterpark. View all of our Grand Deals for overnight accommodations.
Open to the Public:
The Enchanted Forest indoor amusement park and Canyon Creek outdoor miniature golf are both open to the public. Admission is sold on a per person basis.
Pets:
Pets of any kind are not permitted on property with the exception of service animals. Please contact us directly for nearby pet accommodations and information. Offenders will incur additional fees.
Grilling:
Grilling of any kind is not permitted on property. The nearby Starved Rock State Park does allow and provide for outdoor grilling.
Smoking:
Smoking of any kind is not permitted in any guest rooms or any public areas of the resort. Offenders will incur additional fees.
Parking:
Parking is provided for all accommodations. Vacation Villas and Luxury Cabins are restricted to 2 vehicles per unit. All other vehicles may park in the main parking lot.
Transportation:
Transportation is provided on-site only on weekends and holiday time periods. Provides access to vacation villas, luxury cabins, amusement park and the main lodge which houses the waterpark and arcade.
Food & Beverage Policy:
Outside food and beverage is permitted in all guest rooms only. Outside food & beverage is not permitted inside the waterpark, amusement park or any food or retail establishment.
Room Rates:
All rates quoted via phone or internet are based on the number of guests indicated at the time of reservation. Any additional guests above the number of guests indicated on the reservation confirmation will result in a higher rate. All room rates are subject to availability and may change at any time. Rates are guaranteed only with a reservation with a credit card guarantee.
Resort Fee:
A nightly fee of $12.00 will be applied to all reservations in addition to room & tax. This fee covers waterpark access during your stay exclusive for GBR guests as well as amusement park access for the length of your stay, Complimentary shuttle service, Complimentary WiFi in the main lodge, Complimentary parking, Complimentary local calling, calling-card and toll-free calls, Complimentary coffee in the main lobby each morning, Complimentary life jacket use in the waterpark, Complimentary towel service for the waterpark, Complimentary kid’s movie showings on weekends & Complimentary incoming faxes.
Waterpark Tube & Body Slide Height Restrictions:
Riders must be at least 48 inches tall in order to ride. Single riders only.
Waterpark Spa Restrictions:
Guests ages 16 and older only are permitted.
Suggestions for Villa & Cabin Rentals: Individuals with reservations in our vacation villas and luxury cabins may want to consider bringing the following:
- Paper supplies such as napkins and paper towels
- Baking sheet for pizza or cookies
- Laundry detergent for laundering of soiled towels/linens throughout stay (not required prior to departure)
- Liquid dish soap
- Large mixing or serving bowls (1 small pot & 1 small pan are provided)
- Coffee and filters (coffee maker is provided)
- Can opener
- Salt & Pepper
