FAQs

  • What is included in the first tandem jump?

The anticipation of that first leap can make your heart beat fast. Don’t worry! Before you dive, instructors will take you through a 20 minute how-to class to learn the basic free-falling and canopy skills. During your jump, you’ll be harnessed with a professional tandem instructor during your free-fall from 13,500 feet and peaceful 5-7 minute canopy descent from 5,500 feet. On the ground you’ll receive a souvenir First Jump Certificate, jump logbook and coupons for future jumps. For an additional fee, free-fall photographers will fly by your side and capture your adventure on extraordinary video footage.
  • How old do you have to be to skydive at Skydive Chicago?

Jumpers must be at least 18 years old to take the plunge with Skydive Chicago, regardless of parental consent. Jumpers will be required to sign up for a 20 minute instructional class and present a valid photo ID, such as driver’s license, passport or state issued ID.
