Plan on spending some time, as booths stretch both indoors and out.\rAbout the Historical SocietyDating back to 1907, LaSalle County Historical Society has been dedicated to preserving the deep-rooted history of Northern Illinois. The building that is now the museum began as a granary and warehouse in 1848. Built entirely of locally quarried sandstone, today it houses a number of educational exhibits, including a collection of rare American Indian artifacts, and a recreation of pioneer home life in the 1850s.
