Hiking Trails

Starved Rock State Park is a recreational paradise with 13 miles of well-marked trails through 18 deep canyons, bluffs, tall rock outcroppings and the most scenic waterfalls in Illinois. Hike to the top of Lover’s Leap Overlook and Eagle Cliff and enjoy breathtaking views. The park offers guided hikes through LaSalle and Tonti Canyons.

Water Sports

Starved Rock State Park offers exciting water adventures like boating, canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing, fishing and paddle boat tours on the Illinois River. You can rent jet skis and houseboats at the Starved Rock Marina. Enjoy paddle boat tours on the Belle of the Rock and river cruises on the Spirit of Peoria.

    You can take a trolley tour of beautiful Starved Rock on Ranger or Bella. Departing from the Satrved Rock Visitor Center, the Belle of the Rock offers dinner and evening cruises on an authentic paddle wheel boat on the Illinois River. Park rangers also offer nature programs and guided hikes through the park’s breathtaking trails and landscapes.
